The Internet's role grows in importance for Janesville's tourism trade. The Internet is playing an important role for the Janesville Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Director Christine Rebout says the organization's new website features an interactive design. Rebout says as guest browse the website, each listing has an "+itinerary" button so visitors don't have to keep track of their places of interest. The site will have more than 400 listings of restaurants and attractions. She expects the website to benefit the local economy through an increase in both the number of visitors, and the time they spend in the area.
