A jury of six men, and six women hear closing arguments in the case of a Beloit man charged with party to the crime of murder.
Prosecutor Perry Folts says the State's star witness Stefan Range testified that 19-year-old Mickale Hicks planned the robbery and murder of Joe'l Davidson-Baldwin Royster in November of 2014.
Hicks' defense attorney argued that Hicks had no knowledge of the shooting, and that the person who actually committed the crime was never identified by police.
Royster was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the 1200 block of Copeland Avenue.
Police believe Hicks not only masterminded a plan to rob the victim of marijuana, but also drove the getaway vehicle after the shooting occurred.
