A Beloit man is under arrest after authorities say he was caught in the act burglarizing a home in Turtle Township and then led officers on a 30 mile chase.
The Rock County Sheriff's Office says while a deputy was investigating a report of a suspicious person in the area Thursday afternoon, he saw a man running out of a home in the 5000 block of Colley Road with some type of electronic equipment.
The deputy watched the man put the item in his car, and then attempted to pull him over.
The driver led police on a chase that lasted almost 45 minutes and reached speeds of up to 95 miles an hour.
The Sheriff's office says the vehicle eventually stopped when, due to it's age and condition, one of the tires went flat.
The driver, 26-year-old Brandon Plummer was arrested on an active bench warrant for burglary, and a probation violation.
