Construction is ongoing at the I-39/90 and WIS 11 (Avalon Road) interchange, south of Janesville. This week, crews will set girders for the new interchange bridge and I-39/90 will be closed at the interchange for two nights:
· Northbound lanes will close from 10 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 16) to 5 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 17).
· Southbound lanes will close from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday (Dec. 18).
Motorists will use the interchange ramps to bypass the closure.
Each night, single lane closures will start at 8 p.m. on I-39/90 northbound and southbound at the WIS 11 (Avalon Road) interchange, prior to the full Interstate closure at 10 p.m. Motorists should also be alert for nighttime lane closures on WIS 11 at the interchange.
This work and closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
