K-9 searches lockers at Parker High School

Students at Parker High School may be learning to follow the rules when it comes to bringing contraband to school.

The Gazette reports Parker went into a soft lock down just after 1:00 Tuesday to allow a police K-9 handler to do a sweep of the lockers.

Out of the 2,000 lockers sniffed, the dog hit on 10, and 30 were searched.  According to School Resource Officer Scott Wasemiller, the lockers to the left and right of one the K-9 hits on are also searched.

Out of the 30 lockers that were searched nothing was found.

The School District of Janesville does a sweep of the grounds with a police K-9 a couple of times a year.
