Universal Recycling Technologies fined $200,000

A Janesville based company is fined $200,000 for hazardous waste violations committed in the State of New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Attorney's General's Office says an agreement has been reached with Universal Recycling Technologies which resolves allegations of violations of the Hazardous Waste Management Act at it's facility in Dover, New Hampshire.

The hazardous waste violations stem from Universal Recycling Technologies improper storage and disposal of universal waste lamps and cathode ray tubes.

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services says that after U-R-T was notified of the problems, it cooperated fully and corrected the violations that were found.
