A local state senator is advising the U-W System President against apologizing to a minority group for implied racial injustice. Republican Steve Nass of Whitewater says the U-W already has measures in place to address such issues. Nass says the U-W system president needs to stop wasting time appeasing the political correctness crowd demanding safe-spaces, safe-words, universal apologies for hurt feelings, and speech/thought police. He says the people of Wisconsin are demanding a university system focused on preparing students to prosper in a harshly competitive economy. Nass notes activists meeting with the U-W system president last week provided a list of radical demands similar to those being forwarded at other universities around the country.
