A 53-year-old Beloit man accused of breaking into the Town Club Bar earlier this week faces a handful of charges.
Allen L. Earle is charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, and three counts of criminal damage to property.
According to the criminal complaint Beloit Police were dispatched to the tavern on the 1900 block of St. Lawrence Avenue just before 1:00 Monday morning for a burglar alarm.
Earle was eventually arrested after officers found him hiding in the basement of the bar.
Officers say that Earle broke a window to gain entry, and that once inside he broke into an office and safe. Thousands of dollars in cash was found scattered throughout the establishment.
Earle is due back in Rock County court for his adjourned initial appearance on February 17th.
