One of the four suspects accused in the shooting death of little boy in Beloit makes his second appearance in Rock County Court.
At 23-year-old Sergio Ortiz’s adjourned initial appearance Tuesday in Rock County Court, Attorney Michael Shannon Murphy asked to argue bail at his preliminary hearing on February 16th.
Ortiz continues to be held at the Rock County Jail on a body only warrant.
A second suspect, 21-year-old Eric Salazar-Mota is also being held on a body only warrant until his adjourned initial appearance on Monday.
Two more suspects, 24-year-old Isaac Torres, and 18-year-old Hugo Martinez are currently being held on $500,000 and $250,000 cash bonds respectively.
Five-year-old Austin Ramos Junior was killed the evening of January 22nd while in a vehicle with his father at the intersection of Shopiere Road and Prairie Avenue in Beloit.
