The City of Janesville is warning motorists about several lane closures all day Wednesday at an intersection on Center Avenue.
The eastbound movement of West State Street to Marquette Street at the signalized intersection of Center Avenue will be closed beginning at 7:00 a.m. Traffic approaching the intersection from the west will still be allowed to turn north or south.
The southbound Center Avenue left turn to Marquette Street and westbound Marquette Street left turn lane to southbound Center Avenue will also be closed. Other turning movements will be open, but tighter than normal. Northbound and southbound traffic on Center Avenue will be restricted to the outside lanes as motorists approach the intersection.
A contractor working for the City of Janesville will be undertaking sanitary sewer relining effort from manhole in the middle of the intersection.
The intersection is scheduled to re-open by early evening.
