The Janesville Blackhawk Golden K Kiwanis had hoped to pull the Suburban used for the Truck on Ice contest out of the Traxler Park Lagoon Wednesday. After a warm sunny weekend all the ice had melted. Unfortunately a winter storm and cold snap once again sealed it in a thin sheet of ice. Organizers say they didn’t want to damage the fundraising vehicle by pulling it out. Next Wednesday has been chosen as the day to get to the clock in the engine compartment, and read the time it sank, to name a winner in the annual contest.
