A more than $30-thousand state grant, awarded Rotary Gardens in Janesville, is intended to make the tourism attraction even more welcoming to wedding parties. Gardens Interim Chief Executive Officer Ron Kuramoto says the “Let Your Love Bloom” promotion is quickly gaining popularity. Kuramoto says what attracted the State Department of Tourism’s interest is the promotion specifically targets gay and lesbian couples. The Gardens is hoping to attract at least a dozen additional wedding parties from outside the county, which Kuramoto says will translate into hundreds-of-thousands of dollars for the local economy.
