Road construction, important to the Interstate expansion project, begins Monday in southern Rock County. Department of Transportation Spokesman Steve Theisen says crews are reconstructing a major thoroughfare between I-43 and Shopiere Road near Beloit. Theisen says once completed, Hart Road will serve as an I-39/90 alternate route for congestion and incident management. The Hart Road bridge over I-39/90 will also be replaced. The $4.8 million project is scheduled to be completed before October.
