It may take a village to raise a child to be financially responsible these days. High school seniors in Milton will be getting a taste of life after graduation during a special exercise Tuesday. Career and Technical Education Coordinator Amy Kenyon says they’ve set up a “Reality Check” for students in the gymnasium. “Reality Check” is a hands-on exercise for seniors to learn about real-life expenses and budgeting. Students will be given a monthly salary for their chosen career and the life expenses that might go with it. They’ll be required to visit a number of booths ranging from insurance to child care to find a way to live within their means. This is the sixth year for the event.
