The Beloit Police and Fire Commission may be closing in on a new chief. City Human Resources Director Marianne Marshall says the commission is interviewing the four top candidates Wednesday. Marshall says they all come from the Midwest. She expects the names of the chosen finalists to be released by the end of the week. Then a meet and greet with the public will be arraigned before a final hiring decision is made.
