Illinois man charged with defrauding City of Beloit

A 52-year-old Caledonia, Illinois man is charged with two counts of defrauding the City of Beloit in federal court.
Randy Martin is accused of submitting false invoices to the city for maintenance and repair work to the City’s Water Resources Center Buildings and related facilities while he was owner of R & D Mechanical Services.
The indictment returned by a grand jury Wednesday also seeks forfeiture of all of Martin’s proceeds from the scheme, which total more than $250,000
If convited Martin faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each count.
