A suspect is under arrest in connection with an incident that left a 28-year-old Beloit man dead Monday night.
Joshua Smiley was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being shot to death following a robbery on the 900 block of Bluff Street.
Beloit Police say 28-year-old William Slawson was taken into custody Thursday night in connection to the robbery that preceded the shooting.
Slawson is charged with armed robbery, armed burglary, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
