Milton School Board is expected to allow video recording of meetings

The Milton School District may be joining other government bodies in video taping public board meetings.  A Gazette survey indicates several other area municipalities and even school boards already record their meetings and even post them online or elsewhere.  The issue came to a head in Milton Monday night when a resident turned up with a video camera and refused to stop recording.  Several board members expressed their discomfort and adjourned the meeting before completing the agenda.  District officials say they’ve since talked with their attorney and learned the board must allow such recordings.
