The number of home sales for Rock County in the first quarter is down 4.3% from a year ago, but it may not be a sign of a sluggish market. Rock/Green Realtors Association President Jeff Zuelke calls it a matter of supply and demand. Zuelke says an indicator the market is still healthy can be seen in the increasing number of new homes being constructed to meet the need of consumers unable to find an existing home. The Wisconsin Realtors Association does report the median sales price of a new home in Rock County for the first quarter was 8.4% higher than the same time last year at $124,700.
