A 44-year-old special education teacher at Edison Middle School is arrested on suspicion of repeated sexual assault of a child.
Janesville Police say they were dispatched to the Edgerton Police Department on April 26th to speak with resident Aaron O’Reilly.
O’Reilly old police that he had engaged in a year and a half long sexual relationship with a student which began two years ago.
According to police the assaults occurred at Edison Middle School, O’Reilly’s home, and at the victim’s home.
School District of Janesville Superintendent Karen Schulte says O’Reilly was placed on paid leave as soon as the allegations surfaced, and that the district is currently seeking termination of his contract.
O’Reilly has been employed with the district since 2000. He’s due in jail court to face charges Monday at 3:00 p.m.
