Blackhawk Technical College finds a special way to honor a former student.
Marketing and Communications Manager Gary Kohn says BTC will award the first Officer Ryan Copeland Memorial Marksmanship Award during graduation ceremonies at 10:00 Thursday morning. The award, which Copeland himself received in 2013 was formerly called the Top Gun Award.
Copeland was a native of Janesville, living in Edgerton when he was killed in a traffic accident while on duty as a McFarland Police Officer last November.
