An 18-year-old Janesville man is accused in Wednesday morning’s stabbing at a home in the 500 block of North Oakhill Avenue. Police Lieutenant Keith Lawver says Gavin D. Roettger was arrested on a charge of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide. Lawver says police responded about 5:00 a.m. and found David Fancher suffering from three stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. He says Roettger was still on the scene. Both men live at the address, and Fancher is Roettger’s step-grandfather. Lawver says the weapon was a hunting knife. No information about the motive has been released
