The Janesville City Council discusses providing a local business with a parcel of land in exchange for the creation of 10 new jobs.
Economic Development Director Gale Price says Van Brocklin Electric would use the 2.43 acre parcel of land to build a new nearly 10,000 square foot shop on the 400 block of South Wuthering Hills Drive.
As part of the agreement, Van Brocklin Electric will need to guarantee a property value of $270,000 and create the jobs within the next four years.
The Janesville City Council will consider the proposal at it’s regular meeting Monday night.
