The court finds that there is enough evidence to move forward with the case against a Janesville Middle School teacher accused of carrying on a year-and-a-half long sexual relationship with a student.
At 44-year-old Aaron O’Reilly’s preliminary hearing Monday in Rock County Court, the special education teacher stood mute to charges of repeated sexual assault of a child and child enticement, and not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf.
According to the criminal complaint the assaults took place in a science supply closet at Edison Middle School, at O’Reilly’s home in Edgerton during summer break, and at the victim’s home before school.
The situation came to light when O’Reilly told his counselor about the relationship. As a mandatory reporter, the counselor reported the situation to police.
