The State Department of Transportation plans to fix up almost five-miles of State Highway 81 west of Beloit. The work will be broken up into two sections. The sections are a three-mile stretch from Highway 11 to a little east of Willow Creek, and a one-point-six mile stretch between Paddock Road and the city of Beloit. Work will include resurfacing, guardrail replacement, and a turn lane at County Highway T. Residents interested in learning more about the project can attend an open-house styled informational meeting Tuesday night from 5:30 til 7:00 at the Avon Town Hall. Work is scheduled to begin in August and last three months.
