Janesville man sentenced to two and a half years in prison for cooking methamphetamine

A 23-year-old Janesville man is sentenced on a drug charge.
Rock County Judge Michael Haakenson presided over the case against Krystoffer S. Dortch.
Dortch and another man are accused of manufacturing methamphetamine at an apartment on St. Lawrence Avenue in Janesville.
Dortch plead guilty back in March to being a party to the crime of manufacturing methamphetamine.
Judge Haakenson sentenced Dortch to two and a half years in prison and four and a half years of extended supervision to be served concurrently with a drug sentence he’s currently serving in Walworth County.
The Prosecution and the Defense both recommended a sentence of a year and a half of incarceration followed by four and a half years of extended supervision. Prosecutor Mason Brauschweig asked that the sentence be served consecutively to one that Dortch is already served in Walworth County, while Defense Attorney Michael Shannon Murphy asked that the sentences be served concurrently.
