Preschoolers at the Janesville Community Day Care Center will be getting a lesson on the flag Wednesday during a visit from retired U-S Navy Rear Admiral Jerry Clusen. Center Director Theresa Marshall says the Admiral will read a story to the children and teach them about flag etiquette. She says the visit was coordinated by the group Mission-Readiness and will include a staff member from House Speaker Paul Ryan’s office and the Melody Makers from the Rock Valley Badger Chordhawks. The Mission-Readiness website describes itself as a nonpartisan national security organization of over 600 retired admirals, generals, and other retired senior military leaders calling for smart investments in America’s children.
