Construction is progressing at the I-39/90 and WIS 11 (Avalon Road) interchange, south of Janesville. Next week, crews will remove the existing WIS 11 (Avalon Road) bridge over I-39/90. For the safety of the traveling public and construction crews, the Interstate will be closed at this interchange during the overnight hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. Motorists will use the interchange ramps to bypass the closure.
Each night, single lane closures will start at 8 p.m. on I-39/90 northbound and southbound at the WIS 11 (Avalon Road) interchange, prior to the full Interstate closure at 10 p.m.
This work and closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Motorists are reminded to pay attention and drive with caution through all work zones.
