Officer Chad Sullivan with the Janesville Police Department is hoping a new smart-phone app is a big hit. Sullivan tells Your Talk Show on WCLO the app should make it quick and easy to “Say Something”. He says statistics show four-out-of-five times someone had suspicions about the potential for a mass shooting before it happened. He says if they would have let the authorities know, tragedy might have been averted. The department has already had success with its Crime Stoppers program, and is now asking people to load P# TIPS into their phones to make secure an anonymous tips.
