A third more students have been expelled from the Janesville School District this year than at this same time last year.
A middle schooler, and five high schoolers were kicked out of school for a variety of offenses including fighting, possession of THC, battery, and bringing knives to school.
All but two of the students are eligible for early reinstatement if they follow a number of conditions.
This brings the total number of expulsions this school year to 27 compared to 18 at the same time last year.
