The Milton Town Board has approved a conditional-use permit for Matt McGuire to build the track on his business property. He owns McGuire Landscaping and Nursery between Milton and Newville. Some town board members have expressed concerns over safety. The state-approved track will allow for karts reaching speeds of as much as 60 miles-per-hour. Dozens of neighbors used a petition to share their concerns about noise and lighting. McGuire plans to install berms. The track could be open yet this summer.
