Fleeing suspect faces several felony charges

A high-speed chase in Edgerton Sunday morning lands a 24-year-old Milwaukee man in jail on several felony charges.
Edgerton Police say an officer stopped the man at around 2:30 a.m. for speeding. Shortly after, he fled the scene, leading officers on a high-speed chase of up to 90 miles per hour.
He entered I-39/90 going the wrong way, crashed into the median and was hit by another vehicle. He kept running before Wisconsin State Patrol caught up to him.
Officers found packages of cocaine and marijuana, as well as a .45 caliber submachine gun and silencer in his vehicle.
The man was sent to Mercy Hospital for treatment, and now waits in Rock County Jail for his initial court appearance on Monday via video.
