Janesville Salvation Army celebrates Christmas in July

This July local Salvation Army Bell Ringers will be trading in their winter clothing for summer attire during our annual Christmas in July, July 8th through the 16th, 2015.   Bell Ringing volunteers are needed to ring bells and share a little summer cheer at stores throughout Janesville and Milton.  The donations will help sustain programs and services which help meet the needs of struggling individuals and families in the northern Rock County area.
Christmas in July is a reminder that “Need Knows no Season”.  This event is a great way for you and your friends or family to help your neighbors in need.  Christmas in July will run from Friday, July 8th – Saturday, July 16th and we will have shifts from 10am- 8pm. Volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts 10 am, 12 pm, 2pm, 4pm & 6 pm.   Unlike at Christmastime, volunteers do not have to pick up or drop off a kettle; this will make things just a little easier for busy summers. The Salvation Army, a religious and charitable organization, seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of hurting individuals. The Salvation Army provides shelter to the homeless, food to the hungry, and hope to the downtrodden.
