Local law enforcement reacts to Thursday night’s shootings of eleven Dallas police officers during a peaceful protest. Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden appears keenly aware of recent public sentiment leading up to the ambush style attack in Dallas which left five officers dead. Spoden says he understands people are likely to have a heightened level of anxiety today. The sheriff adds Rock County is fortunate because law enforcement has worked well with the community, and has had a good relationship residents, and does not believe the situation locally reflects the attitude in larger urban areas.
