Rock County residents will have a stake in honoring the fallen law enforcement officers in Dallas thanks to the efforts of members from the sheriff’s office. Sheriff Robert Spoden says three members of the honor guard volunteered to go down to Texas this week. A sniper killed five officers last week during a protest march. Spoden says Sergeant Dave Rossmiller, Deputy Luke DuCharme, and Correctional Officer Steven Fraser appreciate the warm welcome they’ve received including a substantial discount at the hotel they’re staying. He says the men will wear ceremonial uniforms and do whatever Dallas police need. They’re scheduled to return Saturday.
