Two reporters who have contributed a combined 82 years to Janesville sports will soon permanently see their names in the Friday night lights.
Janesville city council approved an ordinance Monday naming the press box at Monterey Stadium after former WCLO-WJVL Sports Director Al Fagerli and Former Janesville Gazette Sports Editor Dave Wedeward.
WCLO-WJVL General Manager Mike O’Brien told the council that naming the press box while the two are still alive will allow them to appreciate the honor.
Bliss Communications has arranged donations to cover the full cost of the sign, slated to be complete by a Craig versus Parker home game September 16th.
