One-point-three million people have visited CAMDEN Playground in Janesville’s Palmer Park over the last two decades, and organizers of a rebuild project hope to see even more over the next 20-years. City Parks Director Cullen Slapak says the Camden Playground Foundation has been successful in helping raise the $360,000 dollars needed. He says the park will be rebuilt using longer-lasting man-made materials. Demolition is set to being late next week. Hundreds of volunteers are needed for the reconstruction which is planned in two phases starting later this month.
