Brett Gill of Pifer’s Auction and Realty says the Janesville area’s seller’s market has led to a rise in the popularity of fast-paced auctions for move-in-ready-homes.
Gill says auctions allow sellers to expedite the sale, reduce showings and sometimes make some extra cash.
Another benefit of auctions for sellers is that all contingencies must be met before the sale.
Gill says houses are selling so quickly via auction that this year every seller that went that route saw offers come in before the auction date.
The strong housing market has led him to see cash offers upwards of 350,000 dollars.
