The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a car and semi. Authorities were called to the intersection of Highway 12 and Tri County Road just before 5:00 o’clock Thursday afternoon. A 48-year-old Fort Atkinson woman was pronounced dead at the scene. It appears her car ran the stop sign at Tri County Road and hit the side of a southbound semi on Highway 12. The semi driver was not injured. Highway 12 was closed for three hours.
