Governor Walker touts library legislation in Beloit

Governor Walker reminds Wisconsinites of the importance of libraries, even the digital age.
Walker spoke at the Beloit Public Library Friday afternoon in front of a crowd of community and library leaders as well as schoolchildren.
He touted three bills that passed the state’s legislature within the last year.
One would reduce the required number of library system trustees with territory in two or more counties, that would help them cut costs.
Another allows libraries to report delinquent library accounts to a law enforcement agency for fines more than 50 dollars, and a third allows a tribal college-county joint library to join the state system.
