A local community works to build it’s relationship with residents. Beloit Police Chief David Zibolski has been closely watching the unrest in Milwaukee, following the shooting death of an armed black man. Zibolski expects the topic to come up during his departments first ever “Conversations with the Community” event. Zibolski says a recent string of six community input sessions is a good example of the department’s community police efforts. A key area of concern cited by the department’s conflicts apparently concerns traffic stops, which will be the topic of the first session. “Conversations with the Community’ is set for next Wednesday night from 5:30 til 8:00 at New Zion Baptist Church on Mound Street.
