Janesville Probationary Officer Thomas Erickson is no longer with the Police Department after he was arrested July 24 on a disorderly conduct charge. Authorities say Erickson and a friend had been at an East Milwaukee Street tavern. Four other men, identified in police reports as players for the Beloit Snappers minor league baseball team, were also there. The two groups had no contact in the bar, but they later confronted each other after derogatory words were reportedly exchanged.
