Drug abuse grant given to Rock County program

Rock County gets $125 thousand for its ongoing Treatment Alternatives and Diversion program. In Rock County this includes the drug court according to Criminal Justice System Planner, Elizabeth McQuillen. The money comes in the form of a TAD grant and is typically used to fund diversion programs for heroin and opioid abusers. McQuillen says while Rock County was one of the inaugural sites for the program a number of years ago, they compete for the funding every year.
