A bit of a clearing has opened up along a creek just west of Afton about half-way between Janesville and Beloit. Rock County Sheriff’s deputies say they destroyed more than 50 marijuana plants growing there. A 51-year-old Beloit man is charged with their cultivation. A criminal complaint filed in Rock County Court says Christopher A. Leach is facing charges including the manufacture-delivery of marijuana. He was released on a signature bond and is scheduled to be back in court October 12th.
