Evolving educational expectations, declining enrollment, and a projected budget shortfall are prompting sweeping organizational changes at Blackhawk Technical College. Campus spokesman Gary Kohn says the restructuring is part of BTC President Dr. Tracy Pierner’s efforts to streamline operations and enable the college to more effectively respond to new opportunities. Kohn says the new model is intended to better position the college for sustainability and growth. BTC this year is facing a $400 thousand budget shortfall and 9% enrollment decline of credit students.
