Hope for Heroin in Rock County event planned

The problems with opiate abuse have come with a real human cost in Rock County.  Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change Director Sarah Johnson says 25 people were lost last year alone.  That’s why she’s helping organize a “Hope Over Heroin in Rock County” event Wednesday night at the Rock County Fairgrounds.  Johnson says the Rock County Prescription Drug Abuse and Heroin Task force has put together a resource fair to help anyone affected by abuse.   Johnson says the gathering from 6:00 until 7:30 in the Craig Center  will include expert speakers and community resource booths for services involving prevention, treatment and recovery. A candlelight vigil will follow.
