Northern Rock County commuters, who use Newville’s Highway 59 ramp to go north on the Interstate, need to prepare for an extended detour. DOT spokesman Steve Theisen says the Highway 59 ramp to I-39/90 northbound will be closed starting Thursday morning through the end of October. The detour will take motorists on Highway 59 into Edgerton, and then back to the Interstate on Highway 51. Crews will be working on roundabouts at the interchange.
