Beloit man arrested on charge of OWI 4th offense

A missing front license plate and a cracked windshield lands a 22-year-old Beloit man in jail on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated.  The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says Abdel M. Mohamed could be seen throwing a item out the window when he was pulled over a little before 3:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Bluff Street. .  Deputies say that item turned out to be a pipe used to smoke marijuana.  The arresting officer says Mohamed showed signs of impairment and was arrested on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated 4th Offense.  He was also cited for Operating after Revocation, Operating a Motor Vehicle with No Insurance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a probation Violation.
