A 29-year-old Beloit man is under arrest on suspicion he caused the two-vehicle accident that injured a 39-year-old Illinois man as well as himself.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to that area of South US Highway 51 and West Sunny Lane in Rock Township for a two-vehicle accident just before 9:00 Friday morning.
Investigation determined that a cable service truck and trailer were parked on the shoulder while performing a job when they were stuck by a car driven by John Leusink.
A 39-year-old Illinois man who was securing equipment was thrown , and pinned under the trailer. He was transported to a local hospital with extensive leg injuries.
Leusink was transported to a local hospital for back and hip injuries before being placed under arrest for 2nd offense operating while intoxicated causing injury, operating while intoxicated causing great bodily harm, operating after revocation, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
