Milton School officials are pointing to another year of record enrollment as a good example of the strain on aging facilities. Superintendent Tim Schigur says the high numbers help illustrate the need for a successful building referendum. Schigur says although the record enrollment puts a strain on the teaching environment, the numbers are indicative of families recognizing the quality educational opportunities in the district. The Department of Public Instruction enrollment count for Milton is 3566 students, which is up 52-students from last year.
